A VMware Case Study
Çaykur, Turkey’s largest tea producer with thousands of employees, producers and a nationwide distribution network, faced a legacy IT infrastructure that relied on many physical servers spread across locations. The complexity caused inefficient resource use, slow and insecure north‑south and east‑west data communication, limited agility for launching services, and manual processes that hindered competitiveness and business continuity.
To modernize, Çaykur implemented VMware NSX Advanced with vSphere and Horizon, virtualizing servers, deploying VXLANs, load balancers and VDI for reusing obsolete PCs. The result was fewer physical servers (about 130 VMs running on six hosts), higher internal network speeds (up to 10 Gbps), centralized management, stronger security between workloads, faster operational tasks and a more agile, future‑ready data center.
