A VMware Tanzu Case Study
Hyundai AutoEver, the Hyundai Motor Group’s mobility software arm, builds embedded automotive software and connected services like the Bluelink® app to deliver personalized in-car experiences. Facing rapid growth (over 4 million connected vehicles and a target to exceed 10 million), the company needed to modernize legacy applications and adopt modern engineering practices—DevSecOps, microservices, and cloud-native development—to scale, speed innovation, and bridge the gap between cars and mobility ecosystems.
Partnering with VMware Tanzu Labs, Hyundai AutoEver implemented domain-driven design and a cloud-native platform that enabled containerized, independently deployable microservices and self-service operations. As a result, delivery times dropped from 14 days to under three, time-to-market improved eightfold, and the team now performs zero-downtime, anytime deployments while focusing developers on building new features.
