Humana - Scaling Cloud Foundry From One Team to The Entire Enterprise

Humana launched a cloud-native push through its Digital Excellence Center to speed time-to-market and standardize application development using Cloud Foundry. The challenge was scaling a successful pilot into an enterprise-resilient platform and shifting hundreds of teams to a DevOps way of working while addressing operational, automation and governance considerations.

Working with Pivotal, Humana built out an enterprise-grade Cloud Foundry (PCF) offering with infrastructure automation, a platform maturity model, and targeted enablement for operations and application teams. The initiative produced a resilient, repeatable platform and rollout approach that accelerated delivery, institutionalized DevOps practices, and enabled Humana to extend Cloud Foundry from a single team to the broader enterprise.
