Supporting Cloud Applications and Security Across Global Office Branches Using SD-WAN

RGIS, a global inventory-management services provider with 34,000 employees and more than 200 local offices, faced frequent firewall failures, complex static-IP branch routing, poor cloud-application performance, limited network visibility, and growing difficulty provisioning new sites. Its distributed, device-specific approach created high infrastructure costs and left IT teams focused on troubleshooting instead of strategic work.

Working with Coevolve, RGIS deployed VMware SD-WAN Edges in over 400 locations managed by a centralized Orchestrator, moving firewall enforcement to the datacenter, simplifying branch hardware to single internet connections, and routing SaaS traffic directly to the cloud. The result: faster, more reliable cloud app performance, improved network visibility and security, a smaller hardware footprint, easier site deployments, and freed IT resources—creating a scalable network built for future growth.
