Salon Service Group, a Springfield, MO–based distributor of salon supplies with 30 stores across 11 states, relied on an MPLS-based network that routed all retail transactions through its HQ ERP system. The legacy setup gave IT little visibility or control, created reactive, slow support processes, prolonged branch onboarding (up to two months), and limited where new stores could open—hindering the company’s growth and voice quality initiatives.

Working with Nexio Technologies, Salon Service Group deployed VMware SD‑WAN (VeloCloud) with Edges at each store and a centralized Orchestrator, plus 4G LTE failover. The change delivered single-pane network visibility and instant, network-wide policy changes, maintained uptime through disasters, cut new store provisioning from months to minutes, and enabled a reliable VoIP rollout—improving performance, continuity, and operational agility.
