Devcon Construction provides reliable access to cloud apps and improves remote collaboration with VeloCloud

Devcon Construction, a Silicon Valley–based, ENR top-100 builder with 50 offices across California and Nevada, depends on cloud BIM and collaboration tools (Autodesk, BIM360, PlanGrid) to support distributed project teams. A patchwork of limited local broadband and expensive, slow-to-provision T1/MPLS links left branches with unreliable WAN performance—causing poor VoIP/video, slow large-file transfers, little network visibility, security complications, and frequent IT travel.

Devcon deployed VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud: a cloud-delivered, policy-driven WAN with Dynamic Multipath Optimization, preconfigured edge devices, centralized orchestration, and integrated Wi‑Fi. The solution turned ordinary broadband into enterprise-grade connections, improved voice, collaboration and file-transfer performance, enabled real-time monitoring and remote troubleshooting, reduced WAN CAPEX by ~75% and OPEX (onsite IT visits) by ~50%, and boosted end-user productivity and satisfaction.
