Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) needed a more efficient way to manage a growing fleet of tablets for teachers and students across 46 schools. After an unsatisfactory experience with another provider, the district turned to VMware AirWatch for mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and secure content distribution to support individualized instruction and classroom technology.

VMware AirWatch provided WCPS with a streamlined, multi-tenant solution featuring role-based access, quick deployment, and content management through Secure Content Locker. WCPS deployed in about one week and uses AirWatch to push apps, eBooks, videos, and other learning materials, helping support 3,000 tablets today with plans to manage up to 25,000 devices in the future.
