Value Logistics, a South African logistics and supply chain provider, needed a better way to deliver real-time package status updates and manage a growing mobile workforce. To meet customer expectations for visibility and improve internal communication, the company selected VMware AirWatch, an enterprise mobility management solution, to manage its mobile device fleet and support its delivery tracking and customer-facing apps.

With VMware AirWatch, Value Logistics deployed 450+ locked-down Android devices for drivers and used Mobile Application Management to push its in-house Mobile Solution app. The solution enabled real-time package tracking, emergency “Help” alerts, automated notifications for rejected deliveries, and customer SMS/email updates, resulting in faster issue resolution and improved workflow productivity across drivers, supervisors, and customers.
