Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Improves Patient Care with AirWatch

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, a UK healthcare provider serving hospitals and community health services across Stockport and surrounding areas, needed to replace paper-heavy, manual emergency department processes. Working with VMware AirWatch, the trust looked for an enterprise mobility management solution to improve mobile access to patient information, streamline workflows, and protect sensitive medical data.

With VMware AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management, the trust secured and managed about 250 mobile devices, enforced device settings, enabled enterprise wipes, and distributed its in-house AdvantisED emergency app. The solution gave clinicians real-time access to accurate patient records, improved visibility of patient flow and staff assignments, sped up discharge summaries to GPs, and cut printing costs by £38,000 a year.
