St. Andrew’s School Manages Schoolwide 1:1 Mobility Initiative with AirWatch

St. Andrews School, a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school in Wilmington Island, GA, needed a way to manage its growing 1:1 device program while staying compliant with student data policies and giving faculty secure access to school resources. With more than 510 tablets and 100 MacBooks in use, the school turned to VMware AirWatch and its enterprise mobility management platform to control and monitor devices more efficiently.

Using VMware AirWatch for MDM, MAM, MCM, and laptop management, St. Andrews centralized administration through a single console to push apps, manage profiles, and restrict student app use. The result was a simpler, largely self-managing device environment that reduced IT workload for its one-person tech team and improved peace of mind for teachers and parents; the school was also preparing to roll out 300 iPads and 75 MacBook Airs with AirWatch already installed to streamline enrollment and setup.
