Roseville City School District Embraces Mobility in the Classroom and Promotes eLearning with AirWatch

Roseville City School District, a K-12 district in California, wanted to bring mobility into the classroom while making it easy to share tablets among students and deploy curriculum efficiently. The district also needed a solution that would save IT time, manage apps and documents on student devices, and support compliance requirements. VMware AirWatch provided the mobile device management and mobile app management capabilities to help meet those needs.

With VMware AirWatch, Roseville City School District was able to gradually roll out mobile management, secure Wi‑Fi access, and control device settings such as GPS to support COPPA compliance. The district could also categorize and restrict apps by rating, manage shared devices more effectively, and rely on AirWatch’s education-focused support team. While no specific quantitative metrics were given, the result was a scalable, flexible solution that improved IT credibility and positioned the district to keep growing with mobility.
