A VMware AirWatch Case Study
River Spirit Casino, a hospitality destination owned by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, was looking for an enterprise mobility management solution to improve employee productivity and guest comfort. Its existing BlackBerry-based setup supported secure email for management, but the company lacked the device controls needed to safely expand mobile access across the organization. VMware AirWatch was evaluated as a way to manage mobile devices more securely.
VMware AirWatch was implemented to manage more than 400 devices across Android, iOS, and Windows, including iPhones, iPods, and laptops, with features such as passcode enforcement, app distribution, and secure content access. The rollout helped employees respond faster to guests, reduce food and drink wait times, and improve troubleshooting and training, with Michael Williams noting that response time to customer requests was reduced to a fraction of what it used to be. River Spirit Casino also plans to expand its VMware AirWatch deployment to support lost-device recovery and new mobile point-of-sale terminals.
