Lomond School Transforms the Learning Experience with Digital Tablets

Lomond School, an independent co-educational day and boarding school in Scotland, wanted to expand its tablet-based learning program for more than 500 students and 50 teachers. The school needed an enterprise mobility management solution from VMware AirWatch to distribute apps, push content to iPads, restrict certain apps during school hours, and support a broader e-learning initiative while educating students, parents, and teachers about acceptable device use.

VMware AirWatch helped Lomond School enroll and manage 500 iPads, push recommended apps, and enforce time-based profiles that blocked distractions and inappropriate content during the school day. The solution enabled teachers to review and grade work directly on mobile devices, reducing paper use and saving time, while students could still use their school-owned tablets at home.
