Ideal Stelrad Group, a UK-based radiator manufacturer with multiple brands and six office locations, needed a flexible mobility solution for more than 300 employees who required secure access to corporate information on the go. The company was looking for an all-in-one Enterprise Mobility Management platform that could integrate with existing systems like IBM Lotus Notes, simplify mobility management, automate Wi‑Fi setup, and improve security beyond its previous mobile device solution. VMware AirWatch was selected to meet these needs.

With VMware AirWatch, Ideal Stelrad deployed iPads and iPhones for engineers, enabling secure email access and the ability to complete forms digitally from mobile devices. AirWatch’s multi-tenant management and customizable organization groups helped the small IT team centrally manage devices, while Wi‑Fi profiles reduced roaming and 3G use and lowered telecom costs. The rollout also reduced help desk calls during enrollment, improved productivity by letting engineers carry tablets instead of laptops, and gave the company a platform it could expand with future applications.
