Hebrew Academy of Long Beach Embraces E-learning with Tablets Managed by AirWatch

Hebrew Academy of Long Beach, a private Jewish day school serving about 1,800 students across three campuses, wanted to introduce mobile devices for e-learning, testing, and creative classroom use while keeping them secure and easy to manage. The school turned to VMware AirWatch, recommended by its IT consulting firm 3nom, for an enterprise mobility management solution to support its growing tablet program.

Using VMware AirWatch, the school’s small IT team deployed and managed a mix of iPads and Chromebooks through a web-based admin console, including a 1:1 iPad rollout for sixth graders and faculty plus additional school-owned devices. AirWatch compliance tools helped monitor devices in real time and automatically enforce policy, improving IT efficiency, reducing mobility management costs, and supporting the academy’s expansion toward a broader 1:1 deployment.
