Groupe BPCE Invests in Mobility and Ensures Security with AirWatch

Groupe BPCE, France’s second-largest banking group, needed a way to give employees mobile access to email and internal apps while maintaining strong security and regulatory compliance. After BlackBerrys proved too limited for its custom applications, the company turned to VMware AirWatch to find an enterprise mobility management platform that could balance security with a seamless user experience.

With VMware AirWatch deployed on-premise, Groupe BPCE replaced BlackBerrys with iOS and Android devices secured by passcodes, encryption, and managed credentials, while also using Secure Email Gateway, Mobile Access Gateway, the AirWatch Catalog, and SDK-based app controls. The solution helped protect corporate data, block risky app usage, and secure internal tools, resulting in a 30% increase in mobile device adoption.
