Global Insurance Provider Mitigates Risks and Embraces Mobility with AirWatch

Global Insurance Provider, a global leader in financial protection with more than 150,000 employees, needed a way to support mobility without compromising security or regulatory compliance. The company’s worldwide operations and large mobile workforce required secure access to email, contacts, calendar, and corporate documents across iOS and Android devices, while also accommodating a growing BYOD environment. VMware AirWatch was selected as the enterprise mobility management partner to help address these challenges.

VMware AirWatch implemented a streamlined EMM solution that enabled secure mobile access for more than 14,000 enrolled smartphones and tablets, including 5,000–6,000 employee-owned devices. The company also began rolling out AirWatch Secure Content Locker to manage content distribution and integrate with SharePoint, improving access to up-to-date forms and documentation for sales teams on the road. The result was global, scalable mobility with minimal user disruption, and plans to add about 6,000 more devices and explore additional AirWatch tools like App Wrapping and the SDK.
