Edison Revolutionises its Business Thanks to Mobile Technology Managed by AirWatch

Edison, now part of the EDF Group and a global energy company, needed a systematic way to manage the growing use of mobile devices across its enterprise. The company was looking for an enterprise mobility management solution that could provide a self-service experience for users, align with company policies and control requirements, and reduce pressure on the help desk. Edison selected VMware AirWatch as its EMM provider.

With VMware AirWatch, Edison deployed centralized mobile device and application management, starting with a pilot and expanding to 1,100 corporate devices and 400 employee-owned devices under a BYOD program. The vendor’s solution helped Edison configure policies and profiles remotely, roll out business apps, and support mobile sales processes, improving productivity and speeding decision-making. Edison also reported positive sales conversion trends from its mobile-optimized website, and it is now exploring AirWatch Content Locker for secure content sharing.
