Colegio Mirasur Secures Student “Digital Backpacks” with AirWatch-managed Tablets

Colegio Mirasur, a school in Spain, wanted to improve classroom learning for more than 1,000 students by giving them “digital backpacks” of mobile devices while keeping them safe online. To support device management, security, and educational content access, the school turned to VMware AirWatch.

VMware AirWatch helped Colegio Mirasur deploy 700 iPads, enable self-enrollment with student passwords, and deliver grade- and course-based apps through AirWatch Catalog, safe browsing with AirWatch Browser, and digital content with AirWatch Content Locker. The solution streamlined IT operations by saving more than 90% of staff time, improved student access to learning resources, and supported the school’s goal of making students active creators in their own learning.
