Coachella Valley USD Encourages 24/7 Learning with Mobile Devices Managed by AirWatch

Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD), a large California district serving 26,000 students across 24 schools, needed a reliable way to manage and secure a rapidly expanding fleet of iPads and iPhones as part of its Measure X mobile learning initiative. After experiencing security breaches with a previous enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, CVUSD sought a scalable platform to support classroom mobility while protecting students and enabling always-on access to digital learning.

CVUSD selected VMware AirWatch for enterprise mobility management, including MDM, MAM, and MEM capabilities. With VMware AirWatch, the district deployed 17,000 devices and was on track for 20,000, improving access to email, curriculum, and collaboration tools. The initiative led to better student engagement, improved attendance, higher average daily attendance and additional district revenue, while also helping parents become more involved in students’ mobile learning.
