Case Study: BearingPoint boosts mobile productivity and security with VMware AirWatch

A VMware AirWatch Case Study

Preview of the BearingPoint Case Study

BearingPoint and AirWatch, Mobility as a Productivity Factor

BearingPoint, a global consulting firm with 3,700 employees across 20 countries, needed to regain control of its growing multi-OS and BYOD mobile fleet after moving away from BlackBerry. The company wanted a consistent level of security, IT support, and mobile access across countries while keeping its mobility strategy aligned with local business needs. It selected VMware AirWatch to manage mobile devices, applications, and security.

Using VMware AirWatch, BearingPoint standardized access to enterprise services with strong authentication, delegated administration by business unit, and gave employees a self-service portal for tasks like enrollment, remote wipe, and device locking. The on-premise deployment helped keep data local, and the AirWatch catalog enabled secure delivery of business apps and mobile workflows such as expense reporting. As a result, BearingPoint reduced IT workload, improved productivity for traveling consultants, and better secured access across its 4,000-device environment.
