A VMware AirWatch Case Study
Australian Health District, a local health district in New South Wales, needed a way to support telehealth for patients who might otherwise travel up to 10 hours for specialist care. As it rolled out a pilot of around 60 tablets, the organization also had to secure patient data, manage devices, provide age-appropriate apps, and filter unsafe web content for pediatric patients.
VMware AirWatch helped Australian Health District implement its mobility program with MDM and MAM capabilities, including application management, secure browsing through AirWatch Browser, GPS asset tracking, and remote wipe. Clinicians can now configure tablets before use and provision apps by age range, enabling simple video consultations with 600 end-points, improving patient access and care while helping recover lost devices and support compliance with Internet safety requirements.
