A VMware AirWatch Case Study
Atlantis, The Palm, the luxury resort in Dubai, needed a better way to manage housekeeping operations and support an increasingly mobile workforce. Its paper-based room assignment process couldn’t keep up with late checkouts, do-not-disturb requests, and other real-time changes, while employees also wanted secure BYOD access to company email and resources. The hotel turned to VMware AirWatch for enterprise mobility management.
VMware AirWatch was implemented to manage more than 150 iPods for housekeeping and support over 800 BYOD and corporate devices with centralized administration, monitoring, and security controls. The solution enabled remote profile and security updates, content containerization, and cloud-based device management, helping reduce data leakage, streamline guest check-in, and support digital menus and dynamic pricing. Atlantis, The Palm reported improved productivity, stronger employee satisfaction, fewer IT support requests, and a return on investment within a few months of implementation.
