AirWatch Enables Rotho Blaas to Transition Mobile Fleet from Blackberry to iOS Devices

Rotho Blaas, a leading multinational provider of wood-building technology solutions, needed a way to support its growing mobile sales force after transitioning from BlackBerry devices to iPhones, iPads, and a few Android and Windows phones. The company wanted a secure enterprise mobility management solution to deploy an internal app across multiple platforms, improve access to pricing and product information in the field, and protect business-critical data on lost or stolen devices.

VMware AirWatch was selected to manage Rotho Blaas’s mobile fleet using Mobile Application Management and Mobile Device Management. The IT team configured 300 devices in just three days, deployed the internal sales app, and gained the ability to remotely lock and wipe devices if needed. VMware AirWatch helped improve workflow and productivity across European offices, supported the completion of the BlackBerry-to-iOS transition, and set the stage for replacing notebooks with managed tablets.
