A VIZpin Case Study

VIZpin eliminates technical challenges & inconveniences of legacy solutions

Light House Storage LLC, a nearly five‑acre boat and RV storage facility in Kemah, Texas, operated by David Stovall, struggled with an aging Elite/Sentex gate system that required physical click‑cards and on‑site keypad programming. Living 260 miles away, David had to make four‑and‑a‑half‑hour trips (plus a 25‑mile drive to the installer) to add or change codes, and the legacy system became unmanageable as the customer base grew. He adopted VIZpin’s smartphone access solution—installing a VIZpin reader and using VIZpin’s app/cloud management—to replace the legacy controls.

VIZpin ran in tandem with the old system during transition and then became the primary access control after the Sentex board failed, allowing remote granting and revoking of access without Wi‑Fi or a network. The VIZpin solution eliminated on‑site programming trips, provided time‑stamped access logs for peace of mind, and simplified management for the ~120‑space facility and dozens of former click‑card users, saving significant travel time and operational hassle.
