VIZpin Allows Our Lady of Perpetual Help to Make a New Chapel a Safe Place to Pray Any Hour of the Day

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a Roman Catholic parish in Ellicott City, Maryland serving about 1,600 families, needed a safe, convenient way to open a new Eucharistic Adoration Chapel for prayer around the clock without the administrative burden and liability of traditional keys, cards, or fobs. Pastor Fr. Erik Arnold selected VIZpin’s smartphone-based access control (cloud-based ACaaS and Bluetooth readers) to meet that need.

VIZpin installed readers on three new building doors and OLPH created an online request-and-registration page; more than 300 users have been granted after-hours access, physical keys have been reduced to five, and the parish eliminated staff opening/closing duties. VIZpin’s solution provided zone-based access, an audit trail, cost savings, and positive user feedback, and OLPH is now expanding VIZpin to additional campus buildings.
