Case Study: The UPS Store achieves secure, affordable 24/7 smartphone-based mailbox access with VIZpin

A VIZpin Case Study

Preview of the The UPS Store Case Study

Affordable and easy-to-use solution allows after-hours access

The UPS Store in Tampa, Florida, owned by Rebecca Goniwich, operates 24-hour mailbox services and faced problems with traditional locks and physical keys—costly duplication, wear and difficulty reclaiming keys when customers left. Seeking a better option, Rebecca evaluated electronic keypads but chose VIZpin’s smartphone-based access control to give customers after-hours entry without managing hardware keys.

VIZpin deployed a smartphone app (with key fob options for non-smartphone users) that lets the owner grant and revoke access remotely, eliminate key duplication, and reduce installation cost versus keypad systems. At the second location about 40 mailbox customers and employees are using the VIZpin app and report high satisfaction; Rebecca has already added VIZpin to a third site and plans to replace the original keylock with VIZpin in 2020.
