Aleris Scraps Legacy Systems and Rolls with eAM

Aleris, a global aluminum producer with 47 facilities and about 8,800 employees, needed to replace inconsistent maintenance practices across three plant sites. One location relied on manual processes while two others were limited by legacy systems, making it difficult to align operations and maintenance and improve work management. Viziya was involved in the case study around the Oracle eAM implementation services used to address these challenges.

Viziya’s implementation helped Aleris standardize maintenance processes with Oracle eAM across three sites, including building equipment data from scratch at one plant and converting legacy data at the others. The rollout also included training and storeroom process improvements, resulting in better work request approvals, improved scheduling, real-time KPI dashboards, and stronger cost visibility. Oracle eAM is now live at three sites, with five more planned, supporting more efficient operations and continuous improvement.
