Leading Film Studio faced a sudden theatrical shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic and risked losing hundreds of millions in ticket revenue, so it launched a Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) offering to rent films during theatrical windows. Vizion Interactive was brought in to rapidly pivot marketing for these untested releases, with no established benchmarks and the added challenge of educating consumers about a new product while driving awareness and sales.

Vizion Interactive implemented a full PVOD marketing plan across Google and Amazon search, display, and video, developed new ad creative and CTAs, built a tracking schema, and leveraged the studio’s first-party data for remarketing and audience expansion. The campaign drove roughly 5 million rentals at $19.99 (~$100M) in three weeks; Google Search saw a 78% higher CTR versus digital genre benchmarks, and Amazon campaigns achieved a programmatic display ROAS of $18.84 (a 458% lift), with CVR up 173% and CTR up 19%.
