A VIVOTEK Case Study
Szeged Transport Co. Ltd., the state-owned trolleybus operator in Szeged, Hungary, needed to modernize its fleet and strengthen passenger and vehicle security as traffic volumes grew. Working with integrator New Line Technologies, the company selected VIVOTEK and its MD7560D network camera to equip new trolleybuses for comprehensive internal and external surveillance.
VIVOTEK supplied and integrated 110 units of the MD7560D—an EN50155-compliant, vandal-proof 2‑MP camera (1600x1200)—with mobile NVRs to capture clear, usable footage of passenger activity and incidents. The deployment has improved identification of people and objects, provided reliable post-event evidence, and reinforced transportation security for Szeged’s ~163,000 residents, with plans by VIVOTEK and partners to expand coverage to older, previously unmonitored buses.
