A VIVOTEK Case Study
JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa faced rising security risks to the hospitality sector and limitations of analogue video surveillance—poor image quality, limited coverage, storage and retrieval inefficiencies—so the property engaged VIVOTEK (with systems integrator Sysware Infotech Pvt. Ltd.) to migrate to IP surveillance. VIVOTEK supplied a suite of IP cameras and network recording solutions (models including FD8131, FD8136, IP8335H, SD8322E/SD8322, SD8121) and used QNAP NVRs to meet Marriott’s evolving security requirements.
VIVOTEK implemented a three‑phase rollout—planning, staged deployment and post‑deployment commissioning/training—and installed 125 IP cameras with tailored placement (vary‑focal for outdoor/public areas, fixed for corridors and counters) across the 25‑acre resort. The VIVOTEK solution delivered measurable benefits: 125 cameras deployed, noticeably improved image quality and remote viewing/management, fewer cables using UTP6 versus coaxial, reliable operation in extreme terrain/temperatures, and ultimately prompted JW Marriott to revise security guidelines nationally with VIVOTEK as its preferred brand.
