VIVOTEK Secures Manufacturing Facilities of Coficab, Major Automotive Cable and Wire Supplier

Coficab, a leading global automotive cable and wire supplier with more than 13% market share worldwide and major production sites including Coficab Eastern Europe SRL in Arad, Romania, needed a comprehensive video surveillance system to secure over 14,000 square meters of plants, offices, warehouses, parking and grounds and to reliably monitor access points and production lines. They selected VIVOTEK (network cameras and VAST video management software) to meet these requirements.

VIVOTEK deployed a 42-camera system (20 IP8332, 16 IP7161, 6 IP8161) integrated with VAST VMS, using PoE and weatherproof/IR-capable models to cover indoor production lines, outdoor perimeters and parking areas (IP8332 IR effective to 15 m). The solution delivered clear day/night imaging, license-plate readability, reduced camera count through wide-FOV 2MP units, and centralized monitoring across the 14,000+ m² site—enabling Coficab’s security team to monitor activity reliably and capture critical detail, according to Coficab’s feedback.
