VIVOTEK Outfits Brazilian Military Defense Facilities, Supporting the Security at the FIFA World Cup

Alca Network, acting as VIVOTEK’s local distributor, was charged with outfitting Brazil’s Special Operations Command (COPESP) and Mobile Platform C2 units to secure venues for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The challenge was to provide durable, high‑resolution, real‑time surveillance across large stadiums and mobile command platforms that could integrate with existing C4/ISR systems and operate reliably under heavy operational demand.

VIVOTEK supplied about 300 SD8363E SUPREME‑series cameras (1080p Full HD, IP66/NEMA 4X, H.264/MPEG‑4/MJPEG) which Alca Network and systems integrator Equipe Engenharia integrated into COPESP’s command systems. The deployment delivered seamless real‑time control with 360° pan/220° tilt and rapid distribution, enabling operators to monitor and reposition cameras easily; the equipment performed to expectation, 300 units were deployed quickly, and COPESP confirmed the solution helped ensure stadium safety throughout the tournament.
