VIVOTEK Donates Expertise and Advanced IP Surveillance to Thula Thula Game Reserve, South Africa

Thula Thula Game Reserve, a historic wildlife sanctuary in Zululand, South Africa, runs a rhino orphanage to protect endangered rhinos from poaching and needed reliable, round‑the‑clock surveillance to safeguard the animals and support staff. VIVOTEK was brought in to supply the advanced IP surveillance technology and expertise required for this mission.

VIVOTEK donated and deployed a full IP solution—24 network cameras (outdoor dome and bullet), 2 network video recorders, one PoE switch and VIVOTEK VAST software—working with Rectron SA and Dimension Security to install the system. The VIVOTEK system provides 24‑hour coverage with IR night vision, WDR imaging and plug‑and‑play NVR management, immediately improving staff situational awareness and security at the orphanage; the reserve reports the installation has already enabled continuous protection of the baby rhinos and more effective day‑to‑day care.
