VIVOTEK Defends Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum with Maximum Surveillance

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, a non-profit that preserves nearly 50 restored WWI and WWII aircraft, needed to secure a large hangar, exhibit spaces and a 400‑vehicle parking lot next to Hamilton International Airport. Dark perimeter zones, high public access and the priceless nature of the collection made deterring theft and vandalism a major challenge. VIVOTEK was chosen to provide the upgraded surveillance solution, including IB836B‑HT cameras and the ND9541 NVR.

VIVOTEK delivered a turnkey system—16 IB836B‑HT 2MP bullet cameras with WDR/SNV and built‑in IR to 30 m, an ND9541 32‑channel H.265 NVR with four drive bays, PoE switching and AP‑FXC‑0210 extenders—installed by partner A.S. Security & Surveillance, Inc. The deployment provided reliable 24/7 high‑resolution coverage across the hangar and parking areas (including low‑light zones), rugged weather/vandal protection and centralized recording, significantly improving monitoring capability and deterrence of theft and vandalism for the museum.
