Taipei City’s Heti Elementary School Completes Campus Security Network Using VIVOTEK’s IP Surveillance Solutions

Heti Elementary School in Taipei, a historic school established in 1958, faced deteriorating surveillance equipment, unclear images, challenging lighting conditions (alternating light sources and headlight glare), and increased risk due to its open-plan, low-wall campus. Responding to Taipei City’s push for upgraded campus safety, the school selected a combined solution using VIVOTEK cameras (model IP8355H) together with the Aimetis video management system to implement an automated “virtual fence” intruder-warning system.

VIVOTEK’s IP8355H outdoor cameras—featuring Smart IR, 3D noise reduction, WDR PRO II and IP67 protection—were deployed by integrator Hongyes and distributor Zero One Tech and integrated with Aimetis software to provide instant zoom, human-feature detection, audible alarms and push notifications. The VIVOTEK-based system delivered clearer low-light and high-contrast images, enabled immediate alerts and remote playback for administrators, reduced the need for constant patrols, and overall strengthened campus security while greatly improving monitoring efficiency.
