Remote Monitoring of Russian Small Town Made Easy by VIVOTEK via Satellite

Soft-Tronik faced the challenge of remotely protecting heavy equipment and a small, geographically isolated town near Demyankov Uvat, Tyumen, where access is limited, staffing is minimal and temperatures range from -55°C to +30°C. To address these security and operational risks, VIVOTEK (via local partner SATCOM) provided IP8161 network cameras and related surveillance solutions for satellite-based remote monitoring.

SATCOM installed eight VIVOTEK IP8161 cameras integrated with an NUUO NV-2040 NVR Mini and a VSAT satellite link to enable real-time remote viewing in Moscow. The VIVOTEK solution delivered reliable, full‑HD surveillance under extreme weather, met Soft-Tronik’s technical and budget requirements, and provided continuous monitoring of the town, equipment and warehouse—reducing on-site risk and ensuring stable, uninterrupted oversight. VIVOTEK’s equipment earned positive feedback from Soft-Tronik for its performance and cost-effectiveness.
