Prairie Hill School District Creates Safe, Open Learning Environment with VIVOTEK Network Surveillance System

Prairie Hills School District, committed to student safety while preserving an open learning atmosphere, needed an advanced, unobtrusive surveillance solution that delivered clear, accurate images with fewer cameras. To meet those goals the district deployed VIVOTEK network surveillance cameras paired with Exacq video management software.

With Professional System, Inc. installing a total of 196 VIVOTEK cameras (1–3 MP) across 8 campuses in three phases, the solution used 41 FE8171V 360° fisheye units (replacing what would normally require 2–3 cameras) and SD8314E 18x PTZs for parking-lot and license-plate detail. The VIVOTEK system integrated with Exacq gives administrators accessible HD recordings to capture incidents, reduced overall camera count and cost, and demonstrably improved student and staff safety while maintaining a friendly school environment.
