A VIVOTEK Case Study
Melter, a Monterrey, Mexico–based manufacturer of water-cooled components and heat exchangers, needed a sophisticated video surveillance system across three facilities totaling over 635,000 sq. ft. to meet U.S. C-TPAT certification requirements. To solve this, Melter worked with Novalan to specify a VIVOTEK solution using IP7142, IP7361, IP8362 and SD7133 network cameras plus VIVOTEK’s VS7100 video server and ST7501 recording software.
Novalan deployed 50 VIVOTEK cameras and integrated existing analog feeds via the VS7100/ST7501, providing wide-area coverage, WDR performance for challenging lighting, and 35× zoom speed domes for perimeter monitoring. The VIVOTEK installation gave Melter full site coverage, enabled real-time remote monitoring and high-definition images, and successfully fulfilled (and, per the integrator, exceeded) the C-TPAT certification requirements.
