Belle Tout Lighthouse, a renovated and highly visible bed-and-breakfast landmark at Beachy Head that attracts roughly 100,000 website visitors a year, needed a way to both showcase its dramatic coastal views and improve onsite safety. To meet those dual goals the Belle Tout Lighthouse engaged VIVOTEK to provide a robust IP surveillance and live-streaming solution using VIVOTEK’s network cameras.

VIVOTEK installed two weatherproof IP66 bullet cameras (models IP8332 and IP8332-C) — 1MP, 1280×800@30fps with IR illumination and a cable-protecting bracket — mounting them on the east and west sides and streaming the feeds to the lighthouse website for 24/7 live viewing and monitoring. The VIVOTEK solution delivered high-quality scenic livestreams for visitors and media, strengthened vandalism/hazard monitoring, and supported the site’s strong reputation (including a top Tripadvisor ranking and certificates of excellence), with the client reporting superior reliability, flexibility, and ease-of-use.
