A VIVOTEK Case Study

Preview of the Chalco Ruimin Case Study

China’s Top Aluminum Product Manufacturer Deploys VIVOTEK Solutions

Chalco Ruimin, part of the Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) and based in Fuzhou, faced the challenge of securing and monitoring its aluminum production plants while also generating clear video for operator training under variable lighting and with plans for future expansion. To meet these needs, the company worked with VIVOTEK (installed by system integrator KTInfo) using more than 170 VIVOTEK cameras (IP7121, IP7361 and 7000-series speed domes) and the VIVOTEK VAST CMS.

VIVOTEK’s solution combined model-specific cameras (IP7121 for low-light sensitivity and dual streaming, IP7361 bullets for tamper-resistant outdoor entry/exit coverage, and 7000-series speed domes for 360° patrol) with VAST streaming/recording and six VAST Matrix servers (each with four video-out ports) for centralized real-time monitoring. The deployment delivered reliable 24-hour surveillance, faster incident response and high-quality archived footage used for operator training; notably, the system was able to pinpoint the cause of a vehicle crash at a loading gate, and Chalco Ruimin plans to expand VIVOTEK coverage to new plants.
