Brazilian Fire Department Upgrades Security with VIVOTEK Cameras

Bombeiros do Estado de São Paulo, the state fire department in São Paulo, Brazil, needed to upgrade its existing security system to better monitor external areas and the main entrance, support virtual patrols by stationed guards, reduce the risk of unknown attacks, and improve recording of daily activity. VIVOTEK was selected (with local partners Alpha‑Digi, Bellfone Distributor and Invert Systems) to supply cameras and central management software for the project.

VIVOTEK installed a total of 44 cameras — 11 IP8332, 28 IP8335H and 5 FD8136 — and deployed its VAST central management software to centralize monitoring, recording, playback and event management. The solution provided PoE, IR and WDR capabilities for challenging lighting and weather conditions, gave guards a comprehensive departmental view for targeted patrols, and produced an exponential improvement in on‑site security; all parties reported high satisfaction with VIVOTEK’s performance.
