Wohlers Associates uses Vitrium Security to protect the Wohlers Report by restricting printing and sharing through a single-user license sales model, without viewing obstacles for customers

Wohlers Associates, an independent consulting firm in Fort Collins, CO, publishes the annual Wohlers Report on additive manufacturing and 3D printing. After someone illegally unlocked and redistributed their PDF, Wohlers needed stronger DRM to protect their investment while keeping the report easy to view for paying customers. They selected Vitrium and its Vitrium Security solution in 2016 to enforce single‑user licensing and prevent printing and unauthorized sharing.

Vitrium implemented content security that travels with the report—secure web links or protected PDFs, secure offline access, and username/password delivery for each customer.
