Case Study: SourceMedia achieves digital transformation and secure content delivery with Vitrium Security

SourceMedia, a New York–based media and publishing company serving senior professionals across finance, technology and healthcare, needed to reduce print distribution and replace its print publications with a controlled digital library. After finding Adobe PDF security insufficient for long-term DRM and workflow integration, SourceMedia turned to Vitrium and its Enterprise Content Security solution (Vitrium Security) to secure and manage digital delivery.

Vitrium implemented its Enterprise Content Security solution within SourceMedia’s existing CMS and customer database using APIs, enabling protected publishing, user authentication, and device/browser limits while offering a Secure Web Viewer that works on any device without plug‑ins. As a result, Vitrium helped SourceMedia fully transition many publications to digital, significantly convert daily publications and subscribers to digital formats, and introduce new research reports available only in digital form — all while limiting access to paying customers and preserving a seamless user experience.
