Aeris Insight, a Philadelphia-based financial research firm that sells Ratings Reports and subscriptions to investors and rated organizations, faced the challenge of preventing paying clients and rated entities from redistributing its analysis. Having relied on basic PDF protections and occasional paper copies, Aeris Insight turned to Vitrium and its Vitrium Security solution to protect subscription revenues and stop unauthorized sharing.

Vitrium deployed Vitrium Security in summer 2014, letting Aeris Insight upload reports to Vitrium’s dashboard, apply DRM controls, and distribute Secure PDFs and Secure Web Links protected with 256‑bit AES accessible on any device. The implementation stopped ad hoc paper distribution, helped preserve core subscription revenue, and gave Aeris Insight ongoing confidence that their reports are not being shared without approval.
