Parliament of Victoria Keeps MPs in the Loop with Exterity Integrated IPTV and Digital Signage Solution

The Parliament of Victoria needed an IPTV and digital signage solution for its new annexe, which would add office space for 102 Members of Parliament while also giving MPs and staff access to live video from both chambers, committee rooms, and free-to-air news channels. Vendor VITEC, via Exterity’s integrated IPTV platform, was selected after an independent evaluation that prioritized reliability, flexibility, ease of use, and support.

VITEC delivered an IPTV system with floating licences, support for digital signage, Dante audio integration, and a shared Gigabit Ethernet distribution network feeding 142 screens across the new and existing buildings. The solution was delivered on time and within budget, was well received by users, and has since been expanded for press rooms and media recording, with content from ten TV channels retained for 30 days.
