Exterity IP Video Solution Creates Immersive In Stadium Experience for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim Football Fans

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the Bundesliga football club behind the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, wanted to create a more immersive matchday experience for tech-savvy fans in its VIP lounges and boxes. To meet this challenge, the club turned to VITEC’s Exterity IP video solution, using IP video technology to deliver live TV and streaming content throughout the stadium’s premium areas.

VITEC implemented a centrally managed Exterity system featuring AvediaStream gateways and encoders, AvediaPlayer receivers, an AvediaStream r9350 receiver, and AvediaServer management. The solution enabled seamless high-quality video distribution to VIP screens, live contributions into broadcast environments, and in-house content delivery for press conferences, interviews, welcome messages, and event presentations, improving the overall fan and guest experience across the arena.
