Leading International Financial Services Company, a global financial institution with thousands of branches and tens of thousands of employees across Europe, the Americas, and the Far East, needed a secure and reliable way to deliver real-time business news, financial information, training, and internal communications to employees worldwide. It also wanted convenient access for analysts and traders to breaking market news, with video integrated into other real-time services such as video conferencing. VITEC provided the enterprise IPTV foundation for this initiative, using its MGW streaming and encoding platforms.

VITEC implemented a distributed enterprise IPTV solution based on MGW 5100, MGW 1100, and MGW 1000 platforms to encode, transcode, and stream live TV, internal VOD, and organizational events across the bank’s secure global fiber network. The system offered regional control, permission-based access by employee, group, or region, high-quality low-bitrate delivery, and full redundancy for mission-critical availability. As a result, the customer gained scalable, secure, and reliable video distribution worldwide, and later planned to extend the platform with VITEC EZ TV System for desktop and TV viewing.
