Alva Hotel by Royal deploys 1,000-endpoint guest experience with VITEC

The customer, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport, required a leading-edge and reliable IPTV and digital signage solution for their new 1,000-screen campus near Dubai's airport. They needed a system that was easy to use and could integrate with their property management software to serve both business and leisure guests. After testing several options, their IT team, led by Shanu Ammunni, issued a challenge to find a robust solution they could not break.

VITEC was selected and implemented its IPTV system, which integrated with the hotels' Samsung TVs and OPERA management software. The solution delivered 125 channels, digital signage for wayfinding, and in-room access to services. The results have been highly successful, with the system proving extremely reliable and easy for the facility team to operate without assistance since its late 2020 launch. The project's success has led the wider Ishraq Hospitality group to consider VITEC for further hotel deployments.
