Missouri Employers Mutual uses on-site wellness activities to motivate employees to live healthier lives

Missouri Employers Mutual (MEM), a statewide workers’ compensation provider, needed to move beyond a one-size-fits-all wellness approach to better motivate employees across multiple locations. To do that, MEM adopted Vitality’s workplace wellness program, including the Vitality Health Review and the Vitality Active Rewards + Apple Watch option, to offer individualized participation choices and on-site activities.

Vitality deployed a flexible, status-based program with the Vitality Mall/Vitality Bucks, on-site fitness and biometric screenings, device integration, and local Vitality Champs® wellness committees to drive engagement. The results speak to the impact: 86% completed the Vitality Health Review, 71% reached Platinum Status in 2017, 92% completed a Vitality activity this year, a 3.3x increase in activities per member per month, and biometric screening participation up to 70%, showing substantial increases in participation and healthier behaviors under Vitality.
